I have done a few routes and prefer the long open stretches of the Karoo roads. The places where you can just spend a few days without thinking about it too much. Biking is my escape from the city in the times when I can't play gholf. My best experience on a bike was recent trip to Namibia for 10 days of uninterrupted riding.
